Mama Marie is gonna be piSSeD!

So on a cloudy day at Lake Taupo after preparing for the SIKA show I decided that bungee jumping needed to be checked off my list. Had some Burger Fuel (my first ever) and had a beer and then headed to the bungee. Don’t get me wrong, my legs were shaking like leaves. I knew if I didn’t immediate leap off that platform I would join the ranks of the losers who stand there for two days and everyone makes fun of them for it. So I stepped up to the platform, gave my mom a big smile, and stepped off the platform. Your stomach literally feels like it is in your knees (your feet are so tight you can’t feel anything that far down). After the initial decent I thought that wasn’t so bad, but I had overlooked that whole stretchy side of the bungee and although going back up wasn’t bad, it was the moment that I knew I was going back down again. That second decent was quite a surprise. It was all over so fast, I was ready to do it again. It was a wonderful experience in a lovely place with great moral support. Riette, Alana, Graeme, and Lucy were all there to cheer me on and be scared for my mom. The walk back up to the top of the cliff was, by far longer, then the actual bungee!

Can’t wait to take my sister bungee jumping!

Rugby is a contact sport!

I attended my very first Rugby game last night! It was great fun! My friends Riette and Matty live right across the street from the Waikato Stadium ( I think Matty probably planned that) so it was ever so convenient! The stands were packed and the game was sold out. It was compared to our Super Bowl! There was a fireworks show before hand. They might as well have been speaking Spanish because none of the rugby terms were familiar but I just cheered when everyone else cheered and got by just fine! I hope that this is my first of many Rugby games!

Dawn vs. Wild

So I ventured to the zoo by myself, and took the bus….if that isn’t grown up then I don’t know what is. It was cool to see different animals then I am used to, but I was just gearing up for the Australian zoo, hello koala bears! The following are a picture tour of the zoo…so it’s like you were there!
I had a most amazing lunch while at the zoo....I have since become a bit addicted to Fanta...

This is an African hunting dog....fooled me....I thought it was a regular dog....

Wallabies! Not to be confused with Kangaroos!

Two words....Tad....Poles!

Chinky Cheetah!

I believe they call these goats....crazy New Zealanders!

The sign said it's name was Stephanie....it just finished smearing it's poop in the wall...I think they named her correctly!

I looked up and all of a sudden thought I was in the movie Congo....Scared the Fanta out of me!
